A housewife has hunted for the dissolution of her 5-12 months marriage at an Akure customary court docket saying that her husband continues to be beneath his mother’s tutelage.

At a normal court sitting today in Akure, the Ondo state capital, a housewife identified as Iyabo Olatunji, disclosed that her husband, Ezekiel, is still beneath his mom’s tutelage.
While testifying in her divorce continuing towards her husband on Friday, Iyabo stated that his husband used to be working by his mother’s directive.
"it is my better half's mother that gives us meals and my husband will not do something except waiting for the mummy’s cash. The worst section is that my sweetheart's mother will not caution her son to discontinue beating me," she stated.
She begged the court docket to dissolve her five-yr-ancient marriage to Ezekiel for alleged consumption of immoderate alcohol, adding that she could now not tolerate the consistent beating she bought every time her spouse was drunk.
In keeping with her, the alcoholic consumption has rendered the respondent irrational in the way in which he treats her. She appealed to the courtroom to award custody of the one child of marriage to her.
The president of the court docket, Rotimi Olusanya, who ruled on the case, said the repeated refusal of the respondent look in court docket would not discontinue the complaints.
Olusanya adjourned the case till Sept. 27 for judgment.
