Two Nigerian nationals have been on Friday, arrested by using India police and 50 g of cocaine worth Rs. 2.5 lakh (N1.2million) recovered from them.
The accused – Nduba Joseph (25) and Nwite Sunday Rose (32) from East Nigeria – have been nabbed from an apartment in Indiranagar where they have been staying.
The accused reportedly confessed that they used to get cocaine from their contact, recognized as Ben from T.C. Palya, and promote it.
The police have booked the duo below Narcotics medications and Psychotropic elements Act, 1985, and remanded them in judicial custody. Efforts are on to nab Ben, who is said to be on the run.
Indian news portal TheHindu provides that the police have additionally seized their travel documents for further investigations.
